Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production activities for advanced composite structures supporting maritime defense programs. You will coach and develop employees, recruit when needed, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence across multiple teams.

You will oversee cross‑training, monitor workflow, and collaborate with other departments to align project needs with production capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience managing time and attendance.
• Experience leading safety meetings.
• Ability to actively mentor employees and support individual growth.
• Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with willingness to assist directly when needed.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and performance targets.
• Coaches, mentors, and supports employees to strengthen skills and promote growth.
• Recruits and interviews candidates and supports talent acquisition activities.
• Executes cross-training strategies to expand employee capability and meet production requirements.
• Assesses performance and provides feedback, ensuring reviews are completed on time.
• Enforces policies and safe work practices to maintain a productive environment.
• Organizes and monitors workflow, tracks budgeted hours, and adjusts priorities.
• Evaluates product decisions, resolves issues, and escalates concerns when needed.
• Communicates with other departments to coordinate project needs and status updates.
• Maintains manufacturing process instructions and ensures redlines are completed.
