Job summary

Ultra Maritime seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a team of mechanical engineers across the design, development, testing, production, and sustainment of advanced maritime defense products.

You will provide technical and people leadership, assign work, set priorities, monitor performance, and ensure objectives are met on cost, schedule, and quality while collaborating with PM, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and systems engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 9+ years of engineering experience in a complex environment.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong mechanical design, analysis, manufacturing process, and product development knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small-to-medium sized team of Mechanical Engineers and coordinate daily activities.
• Provide direction and mentoring in design, development, analysis, testing, and production support of mechanical systems.
