Job summary

Ultra Maritime in the United States seeks a Senior Production Manager to lead multiple production areas, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and set the operation's strategic direction. You will develop leaders, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, and partner across functions to deliver mission-critical products safely and reliably.

You will guide budgeting, capacity planning, and investments while communicating risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related environment.
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership through other leaders.
  • Experience leading complex manufacturing operations and multiple production areas.
  • Strong knowledge of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven performance management.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change and build high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and executive presence skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

  • Partner across Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other functions to resolve challenges and achieve shared goals.
  • Use KPIs, statistical process data, and tiered management systems to identify trends, drive accountability, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead change management efforts and transformation initiatives aligned with evolving business and customer requirements.
  • Support annual budgeting, resource and capacity planning, and investment decisions across the operation.
  • Proactively communicate risks, opportunities, and performance to senior stakeholders while building strong relationships across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related environment. 7+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership through other leaders. Demonstrated experience leading complex manufacturing operations and multiple production areas. Strong knowledge of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven performance management. Proven ability to lead organizational change and build high-performing teams. Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and executive presence skills. Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
