Qualifications

• Merchant Mariner Credential required.
• STCW endorsement specific to engineering required.
• Extensive sea experience in engineering roles, incl. Chief Engineer.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design lessons and practicum aligned with USCG-approved AB-Limited curriculum.
• Teach classes, run hands-on training, supervise practical exercises.
• Mentor seamanship students and ensure curriculum compliance.
• Operate as deck instructor aboard training vessels and perform duties as Mates/Boatswains/Deckhands as needed.
• Assess student progress and conduct competency-based evaluations.
