Job summary

The Center for Green Market Activation (GMA) seeks a Program Analyst/Associate to support maritime decarbonization initiatives and help design procurement solutions for low- and zero-emission technologies.

You will collaborate with technical experts, suppliers, and corporate sustainability leaders to advance market-based solutions for Scope 3 decarbonization, in a flexible, remote role within the contiguous United States.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to addressing the climate crisis.
• 2+ years in alternative fuels, transportation decarbonization, climate, energy, sustainability, engineering, consulting, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Collaborative and able to manage workstreams independently.
• Strong organizational skills for multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design of competitive procurement processes for alternative fuels.
• Evaluate proposals with technical information, LCA, emissions accounting, and fuel pathways.
• Coordinate procurement activities with suppliers, buyers, and partners.
• Provide expertise in corporate GHG accounting and target standards (GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISO).
• Conduct research on emerging fuels, policy developments, and market trends.
• Develop technical guidance, presentations, and member resources.
