Job summary

TOTE Services, a member of the TOTE Group, seeks a Crewing Manager in Jacksonville, FL to lead and manage crewing operations for its managed fleet. The role ensures qualified, properly certified crew while complying with regulations and contracts.

The Crewing Manager oversees recruitment, deployment, rotation, and repatriation of seafarers, and develops strategies for safety, availability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in the maritime industry, labor relations, human resources, insurance administration, travel coordination, or a related field.
• Maritime crewing or marine personnel experience is highly preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end crewing operations for the company's managed fleet.
• Oversee the recruitment, selection, deployment, rotation, and repatriation of seafarers.
• Develop and implement crewing strategies that support safe manning levels, crew availability, cost efficiency, and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate records for seagoing personnel and provide regular reports and strategic recommendations regarding workforce planning, performance trends, compliance status, and process improvements.
• Foster strong working relationships with union representatives, regulatory agencies, training institutions, manning agencies, and other key stakeholders.
