Job summary

Ingram Marine Group is seeking an experienced cook to feed a crew aboard our vessels, preparing three nutritious meals daily for 8–10 mariners, while maintaining a clean galley and dining area.

The role requires ServSafe certification, TWIC eligibility, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work away from home for extended hitch periods; strong English reading/writing and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have culinary or dietary work experience.
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • TWIC credential required by time of interview.
  • Must pass post-offer background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English for USCG requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve three nutritious, well-balanced meals to a crew of 8–10.
  • Maintain galley, dining room, and equipment in sanitary condition.
  • Work safely and in accordance with Ingram safety standards.
  • Provide adequate food for meals and snacks.
  • Practice inventory management and vendor ordering.
  • Prepare meals and store foods following sanitary handling practices.
  • Foster a positive yet professional galley atmosphere.
