Job summary

Barton & Gray Mariners Club in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an experienced General Yard Operations professional to support vessel operations.

You will apply protective coatings to steel, wood, and fiberglass surfaces; prepare surfaces, select coatings, and apply them using brushes, spray, and rollers. Engine and jet services, basic maintenance, and punch-list tasks are also included, with marina experience preferred. Strong safety and communication with the Service Manager are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in surface repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of marine paint and priming procedures and products used.
• General Mechanical Abilities.
• Ability to follow written work orders, take notes while performing work and communicate the work performed effectively to Service Manager and/or Supervisor.
• Experience in a boat yard/marina (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Apply protective coatings to vessels surfaces (steel, wood, fiberglass).
• Prepare surfaces, select coatings, and apply via brushes, spray, and rollers.
• Engine/generator services including oil changes, belts, inspections, etc.
• Jet services including removing/replacing jets, inspections, zinc changes.
• Vessel services including punch-list items (bulbs, latches, trim tabs, bilges).
• Other duties as assigned.
