Arch Insurance Group Inc. in New York City invites applications for a Marine Underwriting Internship, offering hands-on experience in evaluating risks, reviewing submissions, and data analysis to support underwriting decisions.

Interns will learn about marine products, pricing, coverage development, and portfolio management, while gaining exposure to inland and ocean marine lines and working with experienced underwriters in a mentor-led environment.

Formación

• Actively completing graduate degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Maritime or related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• College level – Graduate student with graduation dates between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Marine Underwriting team with evaluating risks, reviewing submissions, and analyzing data to support underwriting decisions.
• Gain exposure to marine insurance products, pricing, coverage development, and portfolio management while learning how underwriting decisions are made.
• Support underwriting projects, market research, and broker relationship activities, helping identify trends and opportunities within the marine insurance market.
• Gain exposure to different components of marine underwriting, including inland and ocean marine products.
• Learn from experienced underwriters through hands-on assignments, formal training, and mentorship while building technical, analytical, and business skills.
