Qualifications

USCG Third Assistant Engineer license for Motor Vessels of any horsepower.
Merchant Mariners Document.
Passport and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
Advanced Firefighting Certificate.
Basic Safety Training.
VPDSD.
Tankerman endorsement.

Responsibilities

Oversee engine department watch- standing duties and machinery control.
Supervise loading of engine stores, bunkers, and water.
Ensure PPE compliance and safe working practices in the engine room.
Supervise unlicensed personnel (machinist and utility).
Maintain and troubleshoot engine room equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
