Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas in Port Washington, NY is seeking a full-time Marine Technician (mechanic) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service boats of all kinds. You will use diagnostic equipment to service engines, hulls, and navigation gear, and install essential systems across electrical, sanitation, and refrigeration setups.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, technical training, and ABYC certifications. Must bring own tools and be prepared for overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical school training preferred.
• ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all kinds.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to test and repair engines, hulls, propellers, rigging, and navigational gear.
• Install and test sanitation, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and components.
• Assess job scope, time frames, and required parts before starting work.
• Must possess own tools and be available for overtime as needed.
