Job summary

Brightwork Marine LLC in Muskegon, Michigan, seeks a Marine Technician to service boats, yachts, and watercraft with attention to engine and electrical systems. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain gas engines, HVAC, and marine electrical systems, work at the shop, marinas, or on-site, and report to the Lead Technician.

You should have 2+ years in technical repairs, valid license, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a technical repair role.
• Experience with boat systems such as HVAC, AC/DC electrical, sanitation.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Advanced skills in at least one service area: Inboard/I/O gas engine diagnostics, Outboard diagnostics, Marine Diesel diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Review and repair gas engines, engine drive diagnostics, plumbing, sanitation, fuel systems, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair various mechanical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and winterizations.
• Inspect vessels for mechanical and safety readiness.
• Accept tasks from Lead Technician and execute planned approaches.
• Install or upgrade systems and conduct operational tests.
