Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas is seeking a skilled Marine Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all kinds at the Wanchese location. You will diagnose engines and propulsion systems, install sanitation and electrical systems, and test all vessel components to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a high school diploma (technical training preferred) and ABYC certifications are a plus. Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and have their own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school training preferred.
• ABYC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all kinds.
• Use diagnostic equipment to test engines, hulls, propellers, and navigational gear.
• Install and test sanitation, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair vessel systems and components.
• Prepare estimates of time and parts before starting work.
• Coordinate parts purchases for vessels.
• Maintain working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and water systems.
• Carry and use personal tools and work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
