Job summary

Anchor Innovation, Inc. seeks an experienced Marine Systems Technician to support a small boat maintenance program at Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, CA.

The role is full-time and on-site, with a 0700–1500 schedule, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. The technician will perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, repowering, and outfitting of boats and marine systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government CAC.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum five years of hands-on marine maintenance experience with limited supervision.
• Extensive experience with major marine outboard and/or diesel engines.
• Certification or factory training for at least one supported propulsion system.
• Experience building, repowering, modifying, or outfitting small boats.
• Experience coordinating with marine OEMs for technical support and repairs.
• Experience in waterfront, maintenance, shop, and outdoor environments.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, repowering, and outfitting of small boats and marine systems.
• Independently diagnose mechanical, electrical, hull, and related issues with limited supervision.
• Coordinate with OEMs for technical support, upgrades, and parts replacements.
• Maintain documentation and readiness of a fleet of small boats.
• Support launch and recovery operations and waterfront maintenance activities.
