Job summary

OP Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager for Marine Systems and Shipboard Technology in Miramar, FL. The contract role covers software and hardware replacements aboard ships, requiring coordination across shipboard teams, vendors, and product owners to ensure safe, timely deployments.

You will own day-to-day execution, manage plans, budgets, and risks, and align deployments with ship schedules and operational windows. Travel aboard ships is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex technology projects involving software implementations, hardware deployments, or infrastructure changes.
• Strong command of project planning, budget tracking, risk management, and resource coordination.
• Experience coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple dependencies and deliver within tightly controlled implementation windows.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel and remain aboard ships for extended assignments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and implementation timelines.
• Coordinate software and hardware replacement activities with product owners, engineers, vendors, and shipboard teams.
• Track budgets, resource needs, risks, dependencies, and issues; elevate concerns and drive resolution.
• Plan deployments around ship schedules, equipment availability, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate equipment delivery, installation readiness, testing, cutover, and transition to support.
• Communicate project status and decisions clearly to program management and business stakeholders.
• Build relationships with shipboard leadership and coordinate work to minimize disruption to operations and the guest experience.
• Maintain project documentation, change records, and implementation procedures.
• Travel aboard ships as needed to support planning and delivery.
