Qualifications

  • Engineering/physical science degree or marine/nautical credentials with seagoing background.
  • Minimum 3 years as Surveyor I or 5 years in engineering/survey within marine industry.
  • Ability to read engineering plans and understand shipbuilding practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine surveys on classed vessels, platforms, or manufacturers for classification and compliance.
  • Prepare accurate, timely survey reports and maintain survey files.
  • Engage with clients to resolve issues within area of expertise.
  • Develop working knowledge of ABS Rules, guides, and safety policies.
