The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) seeks a Senior Surveyor I or above to inspect vessels and offshore structures for compliance with international regulations, classification rules, and client guidelines. Travel to port sites is expected as required.
Responsibilities include planning surveying work, preparing reports, supervising junior surveyors, and maintaining project quality. This role requires strong technical, communication, and leadership skills within ABS' global marine services.

May also be responsible for the administration of office procedures and monitoring of business performance at an assigned port.

Education and Experience
Will report to the Principal, Senior, or Surveyor-in-Charge of the assigned port. This position does not have any direct reports.
90k - 137k base with a 25% Cost of Living Allowance tied to the port location
Travel to and from survey or client sites and manufacturing plants going aboard various marine vessels, offshore platforms, or structures. Some work may be performed in an office environment. Some work may be performed in confined spaces, and it may be necessary to climb vertical ladders of various heights, and construction staging of various heights. The use of small tools and the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in accordance with ABS safety procedures, may be required.
