Duties, Responsibilities & Other

• Manage a team of engineers and designers to develop waterfront structures projects
• Oversee all phases of the project including preliminary design visits, conceptual plans, zoning/planning coordination, permit documentation, and construction level design plans.
• Develop and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments
• Prepare proposals for professional services or funding, review project documents for conformity and quality assurance
• Supervise assisting staff and serve as a technical advisor
• Develop new techniques and improve processes, materials, or products
• Monitor and achieve project financial goals
• Maintain client relationships, serve as point of contact, and develop opportunities for further work
• Work with Practice Leader to expand relationships and workload
• Prepare project reports and submittals
• Conduct site visits and construction inspections as necessary
• Coordinate with the Project Assistant on project setup, billing, and closeout
• Train and mentor staff
• Perform field work to gather existing conditions information
• PE licensure is required for this position

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's preferred
• 7-12 years of professional experience minimum
• Relevant professional certification preferred
• Pre-employment drug screening required; background and motor vehicle checks may be necessary
