Job summary

GFT is seeking a Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to lead structural engineering efforts across Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region. You will guide multi-disciplinary projects, mentor staff, and ensure alignment with client goals, codes, and project constraints.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and strong technical leadership. A PE license is preferred, and experience with EVA and scheduling is valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
Experience managing multi‑disciplined design projects.
Professional Engineer license preferred (Maryland license preferred).
5–10 years of industry experience in structural engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
Coordinate design objectives, progress updates, and deliverables with clients.
Supervise and mentor engineering staff assigned to structural projects.
Analyze complex structural issues and develop innovative design methods.
Represent the firm at meetings and industry conferences as needed.
