KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Marine Structural Engineer-in-Training in New York, NY. This position targets Spring 2027 graduates, with the role starting Summer 2027.

You will engage in waterfront design projects, gaining hands-on experience in structural design, site investigations, and construction-phase services. Responsibilities include investigations, design development, specifications, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Familiar with MicroStation, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Prior internships or engineering experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License; EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs workload involving design investigations of waterfront structures.
• Assist in design development, specifications, and reports for waterfront projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners on multidisciplinary projects.
• Supervise and guide engineers and assistants on assignments.
• Review inputs from managers and adjust work as needed.
• Contribute to construction drawings for concrete, wood, and steel structures.
• Experience across design phases and construction administration is preferred.
