Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Sheet Metal Techniciansfor projects located in Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $27.31/hr based on experience and skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, and shipboard furniture
• Sheet metal fabrication shop work
• Layoff piece parts for fabrication and assembly
• Assemble piece parts in accordance with specifications
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend complex ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches
• Ability to comprehend fractional and decimal dimensions as with a use of a ruler
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry
• Experience using small hand tools, electrical drills, grinders, rivet guns, and shop equipment
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a first class Sheet Metal worker
