This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $27.31/hr based on experience and skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
- Installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, and shipboard furniture
- Sheet metal fabrication shop work
- Layoff piece parts for fabrication and assembly
- Assemble piece parts in accordance with specifications
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend complex ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches
- Ability to comprehend fractional and decimal dimensions as with a use of a ruler
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry
- Experience using small hand tools, electrical drills, grinders, rivet guns, and shop equipment
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a first class Sheet Metal worker
