Job summary

Goodhue Boat Company in Meredith, NH is seeking a Full-Time Service Writer & Warranty Administrator to support the Service Manager and oversee day-to-day operations in our marine service department. You will help provide prompt, courteous service for a variety of boats, coordinate with technicians, and manage parts and warranty processes.

The role emphasizes accurate estimates, upselling applicable services, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years marine service writer experience, preferred.
• Excellent customer service and phone skills are a must.
• Superior selling skills and ability to cross-sell products and services.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem solving skills.
• Marine parts and services knowledge is required.
• Experience with Lightspeed EVO is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather all information for an accurate estimate.
• Consult and sell services applicable to boat type and customer needs.
• Provide customers with a work schedule, updates, and changes.
• Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.
• Communicate with technicians to advise on best remedies for repairs.
• Locate, order, and input parts based on technicians' notes.
• Finalize and invoice work orders.
• Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.
• Spend time building relationships with customers.
• Follow up after work is complete.
• Work with vendors to process warranty claims.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
