Job description

Pier 53 Marine, a full service marina located in Port Clinton, Ohio, is seeking a Marine Service Technician with experience in Marine Mechanics, Diagnosis and Repair. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and servicing marine vessels and related equipment. The job requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Certification(s) are a plus, compensation is based on level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair marine engines (inboard, outboard and stern drive)
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, winterizations and spring commissioning's
• Install and service marine accessories such as pumps, batteries, electronics and navigation equipment
• Conduct sea trials to verify proper operation after repairs are completed
• Accurately document service work performed, parts used and labor hours
• Communicate with parts and service coordinators and customers regarding repair needs and timelines
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
