Job summary

Marine Components in Loudon, TN is seeking a Project Engineer II - Marine Seating to lead the development and launch of innovative seating and upholstery solutions. You will work with customers, suppliers, production teams, and engineering resources from concept through production launch.

The role requires a Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering background with 3+ years in manufacturing project engineering, strong problem solving, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing project engineering experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple seating and upholstery development projects from concept through production.
  • Coordinate design, prototype, validation, and production launch activities.
  • Develop and improve marine seating systems, upholstery assemblies, foam components, and related interior products.
  • Collaborate with customers to translate requirements into manufacturing-ready solutions.
  • Support prototype and pre-production builds, including documentation and BOM creation.
  • Drive continuous improvement focused on quality, manufacturability, and cost reduction.
