Qualifications

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and leadership in enforcement of marine safety, vessel inspection, and international conventions.
Inspect hulls, structural components, tanks, fittings, appendages, and fire-protection systems for safety compliance.
Inspect propulsion, control, electrical, piping, and monitoring systems for safe operating condition.
Prepare briefing papers, technical analyses, and option evaluations for inspection decisions.
Certify completed portions of on-the-job training for assigned civilian and military Marine Inspectors.
