Job summary

Cognito Systems, a Cognito Systems joint venture with Planned Systems International (PSI), seeks a Strength and Conditioning Specialist at Camp Pendleton, CA, to support the Marines Sports Medicine Injury Prevention (SMIP) program as a civilian contractor.

This role focuses on reducing injuries, improving performance, and collaborating with USMC staff to optimize readiness and mission success on base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, athletic training, exercise science, or related field.
• Certification from an accredited program (e.g., NSCA CSCS, CSCCa SCCC) is required.
• 5 years of demonstrated strength and conditioning coaching experience.
• Ability to operate in outdoor environments and hike rough terrain.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the team delivering strength and conditioning programs for Marines.
• Work with USMC Command Elements, ATs, and FFIs to optimize performance.
• Maintain fitness to demonstrate prescribed exercises and work outdoors in various environments.

Skills
