The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of marine painting/sandblasting experience, with strong safety awareness and flexibility in hours. You will operate spray painting and sandblasting equipment, prepare surfaces, and maintain a clean, compliant work area in a dynamic shipyard environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalence plus three to five years marine painting/sandblasting experience.
• Knowledge of ship terminology, safety, and OSHA regulations.
• Working knowledge of marine coating applications and surface preparation.
• Ability to operate spray guns, brushes and rollers, and sandblasting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate spray painting and sandblasting equipment to apply protective coatings and paints to fabricated structural steel material.
• Maintain a clean work area, tools and equipment.
• Comply with safety rules and environmental regulations while performing duties.
• Regular attendance with flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
