Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Marine Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day ship repair operations in Tacoma, Washington. You will supervise commercial vessel repair projects, coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and resources, and ensure work is safe, on schedule, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for customers, vessel crews, and internal teams, overseeing project execution, workforce planning, and operational performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial ship repair, shipyard operations, or marine construction.
• Previous supervisory experience leading multi-trade marine repair projects.
• Strong knowledge of ship repair processes, mechanical systems, and vessel maintenance.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, estimating, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as project requirements dictate.

Position Summary
