Job summary

Conneaut Creek Ship Repair Co Inc is seeking a Project Manager to lead contracts from planning through completion, ensuring cost-effective execution while mitigating risks. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of project management experience in marine/shipyard/industrial environments preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of welding procedures, quality assurance practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and work in operational, shipyard, or industrial environments as needed.
  • Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings and maintain eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Estimating & Cost Tracking – Review timesheets, expenses, and documentation to ensure proper coding and reliable financial reporting.
  • Scheduling – Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, with daily oversight and weekly reporting using Microsoft Project.
  • On-Site Management / Quality Assurance – Oversee project execution in line with QA Program requirements.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance – Ensure safety and environmental procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Crew & Subcontractor Management – Coordinate crews and subcontractors to support project objectives, productivity, and quality.
  • Purchasing – Requisition and coordinate materials, equipment rentals, and project resources.
  • Welding Procedures & Qualifications – Maintain welder certifications and qualifications, coordinate new qualifications as needed.
  • Monitor project progress, communicate status updates, and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Purchasing – Requisition and coordinate materials, equipment rentals, and project-related resources as required to support successful project execution.
  • Welding Procedures & Qualifications – Maintain welder certifications and qualifications, coordinate new qualifications as needed, and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
