Job summary

Manson Construction Co. is seeking an Oiler to assist the Chief/Watch Engineers in maintaining and operating vessel systems on a non-live aboard Cutter Suction Dredge. The role requires 8 to 12 hour rotating shifts with approximately 67% travel and post-offer physical and drug screening. Must have transportation to job sites.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of equipment maintenance.
• Valid picture identification.
• Valid TWIC required.
• One-year marine experience preferred.
• Qualified Engine Department (QMED) preferred.
• Clear verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief/Watch Engineers with installation, maintenance and repair of engines, pumps, and related equipment.
• Perform routine operation tasks such as fueling and lubrication.
• Conduct regular checks and inspections of engines, motors, pumps, batteries, gauges, and valves.
• Maintain equipment logs and records of monitoring devices and readings.
• Follow safety standards and contribute to an incident-free work environment.
• Other duties as assigned
