Fox Powersports Lakeside Marine is seeking a skilled Marine Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of marine equipment in the field. You will travel to marinas, docks, and private residences to perform on-site service.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering clear communication with customers and documentation of all work performed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of marine or small engine repair experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of marine engines and systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues independently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Basic computer or mobile app skills for service documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on boats and marine systems.
  • Service and repair outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, impellers, winterization, etc.).
  • Install and repair marine accessories (electronics, pumps, controls, etc.).
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, timelines, and repair costs.
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company standards.

This position operates primarily in the field, traveling to customer locations such as marinas, docks, and private residences. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on boats and marine systems
  • Service and repair outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
