Job summary

Hinckley Yachts in Naples, FL is seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic to keep high-performance vessels running at their best. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain engines from Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Hamilton Water Jets, using OEM software and tools.

The ideal candidate has 3 years in marine mechanics, ABYC certification preferred, ability to lift 50 pounds, pass background check, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in marine mechanics or related field.
  • ABYC certification preferred; valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
  • Pass a background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics: Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs.
  • Repairs: Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
  • Product Lines: Work on all boat systems; Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, or FPT engines.
  • Safety Compliance: Perform all work to safety standards and guidelines.
  • Other: All duties as assigned.
