Job summary

Pantheon Data, a Kenific Holding company, is seeking an experienced Marine Mechanical Auxiliary Engineer to support the United States Coast Guard from the Washington, D.C. region with a hybrid work model in Glen Burnie, MD. The role focuses on marine auxiliary systems, design reviews, and technical data packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Design, develop and evaluate operation of marine vessels, shipboard auxiliary systems and piping review.
• Develop technical data packages.
• Provide oversight on development of machinery arrangements.
• Conduct and oversee trade studies.
• Lead engineers in development efforts.
• Coordinate with other functional areas to complete ship design.
• Knowledge of ABS, USN, and industry standards relating to shipboard auxiliary systems.
• Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and evaluation of marine systems, ship machinery, and related equipment, such as auxiliary systems, HVAC&R, piping systems.
• Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components.
• Perform design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phases.
• Conduct analyses of various auxiliary systems, lead development of technical data packages and reviews.
• Conduct trade studies regarding auxiliary system configuration.
• Conduct mechanical engineering analysis.
• Create graphical representations of structures and systems.
• Inspect auxiliary equipment or systems.
• Assist in research of advanced engineering designs or applications.
• Prepare technical reports for internal use.
