Job summary

Bradford Marine seeks a skilled Marine Mechanic Technician to perform maintenance and repair of marine engines, machinery, and related equipment at our New York facility. The role includes testing equipment, performing alignments, and following safety practices; you will work on engines, thrusters, propellers, hydraulics, and gyrostabilizers with hands-on repair duties and daily documentation.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience, strong problem solving and communication skills,

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as marine mechanic/technician
• Running Gear or Hydraulics experience preferred
• Flexible to overtime to meet company needs
• No licenses or certificates required

Responsibilities

• Overhauls and repairs gasoline and marine engines and systems using manuals and schematics
• Remove and reinstall mechanical components on vessels (props, shafts, rudders, seals)
• Perform dial indications and laser alignments
• Test engines and equipment to determine repairs
• Maintain and service SeaKeeper gyrostabilizer systems per guidelines
• Inspect cooling, hydraulic, electrical, and mounting systems
• Keep inventory and maintain clean, safe work areas
• Document daily work and communicate with supervisors and crew
