Job summary

MarineMax Brand in New York is seeking a Marine/Service Technician to repair and overhaul boats, machinery and trailers. You will diagnose engines, transmissions, drives and generators, remove and overhaul components, and install accessories. You will also discuss repairs with customers and insurers, and ensure work meets warranty guidelines.

• Examine boat and discuss damage with the service advisor or customer.
• Perform diagnostics and repair of marine engines and transmissions/drives/generators.
• Repair mechanical systems and overhaul components as described in Tasks.

Responsibilities

• Examine boats and discuss damage or malfunction with the service advisor or customer.
• Perform diagnostics and repair of marine engines, transmissions, drives, and generators.
• Repair mechanical systems including engine removal, disassembly, and overhauls.
• Install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
• Operate hydraulic jack or hoist as needed.
• Advise customers or insurers on repairs.
• Complete work within established time frames and follow warranty guidelines.
