Olin Corporation is seeking a Marine Logistics Manager to lead regional marine logistics operations from Houston, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective movement by barge, vessel, container, and related networks.

The role oversees carriers, terminals, ports, scheduling, service performance, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a hybrid schedule offering up to 2 days remote per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Transportation, or Engineering.
• Marine logistics experience with barges, vessels, terminals, ports, containers, or bulk networks.
• Strong cost management, freight procurement, budgeting, forecasting, and logistics optimization skills.
• Understanding of terminal operations, vessel/barge scheduling, berth management, demurrage, and marine economics.
• Experience with ERP and logistics data analysis and performance reporting tools.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and obtain TWIC; valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead the marine logistics team and provide strategic direction for barge, vessel, container, terminal, port, and bulk transportation across the region.
• Oversee day-to-day marine logistics execution to ensure safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
• Manage relationships and performance with marine carriers, barge operators, vessel operators, terminal operators, ports, and other logistics providers.
• Optimize vessel and barge scheduling, berth coordination, terminal utilization, throughput, inventory flow, and capacity.
• Monitor and reduce demurrage, detention, storage, freight, and related logistics costs through planning and follow-up.
• Lead freight spend analysis, budgeting, and performance reporting for marine logistics activities.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for safety, service, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Procurement and other stakeholders on contracts, sourcing, and SLAs.
• Lead issue resolution and contingency planning for disruptions and capacity constraints.
