Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years maritime patrol experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Must possess a valid U.S. Coast Guard National Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel credential (OUPV) for Less Than 100 Gross Tons.
• Must possess a Radar Observer endorsement.
• Must possess a current, active SECRET security clearance.
• Must complete Harbor Patrol Training prior to duties.
• Must meet Individual Reliability Program (IRP) requirements and AR 190-56.

Responsibilities

• Conduct marine security patrols throughout Kwajalein Atoll and surrounding waters.
• Operate Government-furnished patrol vessels to support security operations, emergencies, and mission requirements.
• Patrol harbor grids, fuel piers, and restricted zones.
• Detect, intercept, and direct unauthorized vessels away from restricted waters.
• Lead and coordinate patrol crew members and SAR training participation.
• Maintain vessel logs and perform routine safety inspections.
• Report accidents, incidents, and equipment failures per procedures.
• Support VIP transportation and protection as required.
• Execute weather-related vessel protection procedures with USAG-KA personnel.
