Required are a Texas Class A or B HVAC license, a High School Diploma or GED, and 3 years of journey-level HVAC maintenance experience. Background checks apply; earliest start date is immediate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Texas Class A or B journey level HVAC license.
• Three years' experience in construction and/or maintenance and repair in a crafts trade or facilities maintenance.
• 3 years journey level HVAC and controls mechanic experience; 1 year in other related trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist coworkers as needed in a fast-paced team environment.
• Assist electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems; maintain lighting; drive UT vehicle to job sites.
• Balance air-handlers to maintain comfort in offices and labs.
• Calibrate heat-pumps and timers for seawater temperature control in lab tanks.
• Repair seawater pumps and motors; maintain records and prepare repair reports; yearly coil and cooling tower cleaning.
• Replace air-handler filters and belts; test chemical feeders and pumps on cooling towers.
• Service and repair split system A/C and heat pump systems; overhaul HVAC equipment.
