Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is hiring a Multi-Craft HVAC Technician for University Housing and Dining on the UT Main Campus. The role requires journey-level HVAC experience, a Texas license, and strong maintenance across trades. Immediate start; 40 hours/week; on-site with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of journey level trade experience in construction/mechanical/utilities.
• Experience with common trade tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC installation, repair and maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues; coordinate with other trades as needed.
• Communicate status with supervisor, staff and residents.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain inventories.
• Follow safety protocols; participate in training and lockout/tag out program.
• Respond to emergencies; on-call rotation; may work weekends/overtime.
