Qualifications

• Experience in read and interpret blueprints, drawings and layout specifications.
• Experience with layout, measurement, cutting, fitting and aligning structural steel components.
• Ability to prepare joints and position materials for welding.
• Familiarity with shipyard safety procedures and policies.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications.
• Lay out, measure, cut, fit, and align structural steel plates, stiffeners, bulkheads, and additional vessel components.
• Prepare joints and accurately position materials for welding.
• Use cutting torches, grinders, and fitting tools with a safety-first mindset.
• Check dimensions and alignment to ensure all work meets specifications.
• Collaborate closely with welders and other trades under shipyard safety guidelines.
