Job summary

Windstar Cruises is seeking a Marine Engineering Superintendent to oversee operation, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of assigned ships, ensuring safety, compliance, and cost efficiency. You will lead technical projects, manage budget planning for dry docking and repairs, and liaise with class authorities to ensure timely execution with the Energy Efficiency Team.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years marine related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience as a technical project manager or superintendent in a Technical Department.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, repair and upgrade of assigned ships to ensure safety and compliance.
• Lead large technical projects from planning through execution, including dry-docking and modifications.
• Ensure class and flag state survey requirements are met and liaise with authorities.
• Monitor vessel expenditure and manage budget planning for RM, dry dock, and capital needs.
• Collaborate with Energy Efficiency Team and implement energy saving measures.
