Pay Range: $38.00 - $44.00 / hourly

Job Summary: A Marine Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems according to industry standards and regulations. The technician plays a critical role in safeguarding lives and property by conducting thorough inspections, performing maintenance, and advising customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm components, including control panels, detectors, horns, strobes, and annunciators, to verify proper operation.
  2. Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, test results, and deficiencies, in accordance with NFPA codes and standards.
  3. Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform repairs, identifying and resolving issues with wiring, circuitry, devices, and software.
  4. Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, diagnosing problems and restoring system functionality.
  5. Perform preventive maintenance activities, such as cleaning, calibration, and battery replacement.
  6. Document all service activities thoroughly, including reports, work orders, parts used, and customer notes, using the ServiceTrade platform.
  7. Collaborate with Deficiency Sellers to provide inspection reports, material needs, and estimates, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  8. Interact professionally with clients to schedule work, discuss findings, and recommend system upgrades.
  9. Coordinate with Service Coordinators to optimize work orders, materials, and scheduling.
  10. Maintain a clean, safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
