Job summary

ABB Marine & Ports Division in Miramar, FL seeks a Marine Field Service Engineer to lead complex field assignments involving installation, modification, testing, inspection or repair of ABB products and equipment. You will interact with customer operations and coordinate with other teams to meet commitments.

The role requires 4+ years in marine power generation and distribution, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and familiarity with marine/offshore work environments.

Qualifications

• Four or more years’ experience in marine power generation and power distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another Electrical technical field.
• Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures.
• Experience in marine power generation and power distribution.
• Preferred experience with ABB marine equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, test, repair, or inspect ABB products and equipment including, but not limited to: liquid cooled variable frequency drives, both low and medium voltage, and automation systems and programming.
• Perform or coordinate complex and diverse engineering activities associated with field projects.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics and reflect field changes as necessary.
• Increase product and technical knowledge through training and manuals, and troubleshooting in the field.
