You will manage CNC mills, welding, and fabrication across Production and R&D builds, adapting to schedule needs. This role demands ownership, speed, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in metal fabrication and machining in a production, prototype, or job shop environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills.
• Experience with MIG welding on mild steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and basic GD&T.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills (3 and 5 axis) and program parts with CNC lead support.
• Run manual mills and lathes for one-off parts, rework, and secondary operations.
• Fabricate brackets, mounts, enclosures, and structural components from drawings.
• Cut, bend, form, and drill sheet metal and tubes using shop equipment.
• Weld and assemble steel, aluminum, and stainless parts using MIG/TIG.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges; verify tolerances.
• Support engineers with rapid prototypes and feedback on manufacturability.
• Keep the fab shop clean, safe, and stocked.
