Job summary

Responsibilities include reviewing bid documents, performing quantity take-offs, computing cost factors, and preparing estimates for management.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating marine or heavy civil construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents published by the client
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for management; bids; planning
• Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss estimates
• Coordinate disciplines amongst the estimating team
• Perform multiple types of quantity take-offs
• Prepare project bid schedule
• Ensure contract terms are reviewed by appropriate counsel for exceptions or comments.
