Job summary

Avail is seeking Marine Service Technicians to join a hands-on, solutions-driven team servicing U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and commercial vessels.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems aboard ships, perform valve overhauls, and certify equipment to keep vessels mission-ready. Travel to client vessels and industrial sites is required, with strict adherence to safety procedures and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Technical aptitude working on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work aboard ships and in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to client vessels and worksites to perform service, repair, maintenance, and certification activities.
  • Diagnose and repair actuator and valve systems, including butterfly valves, gate valves, globe valves.
  • Perform hydraulic ram and cylinder overhauls.
  • Conduct onboard grooms, equipment assessments, and RMVA installations.
  • Test, inspect, and certify relief valves.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and customer requirements while working aboard vessels and at industrial facilities.
