Job summary

Centerline Logistics seeks experienced marine technicians to maintain inland and coastal engine rooms. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, startup/shutdown, troubleshooting, and heavy propulsion system work.

Candidates must have 2 years on marine diesels, TWIC, and STCW endorsements, plus safety training credentials. Workers will log maintenance, monitor equipment, and uphold readiness for operations, including watch rotation and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years previous work experience on marine diesels required.
• Valid STCW endorsement on MMC.
• TWIC card required.
• Must have a valid first aid/CPR training certificate.
• Complete HAZWOPER training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engine Room Work: preventive maintenance and underway repairs on main engines, gears, pumps, motors, plumbing, deck machinery and auxiliary generators.
• Log maintenance, monitor engine room equipment, and keep logs current.
• Perform start up and shut down, troubleshooting, and heavy maintenance of vessel power and propulsion systems.
• Hold engine room watch while underway and ensure engine room is clean and ready for operation.
