Job summary

Foss Maritime in Seattle seeks a Marine Engineer to maintain vessel machinery and systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will conduct bunkering, troubleshoot machinery, and support vessel readiness.

The position requires a valid US Coast Guard MMD or MMC, TWIC, and a minimum of two years' experience. Compensation is approximately $148,920 annually based on a typical schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid US Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document (MMD) or Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC).
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Marine Engineer.
• Valid identification for travel.
• Must be a current member of the Union or able to join the Union upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all vessel machinery and systems including propulsion and auxiliary power.
• Ensure operation of monitoring and alarm systems.
• Conduct vessel bunkering operations in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and maintain fuel and fluid levels in tanks.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery malfunctions.
