Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced marine engineer to maintain engine room and propulsion systems aboard inland/coastal tug and barge operations. You will perform startup/shutdown, preventive maintenance, log operations, and assist in loading supplies while adhering to safety and maritime regulations.

Qualifications include TWIC, STCW endorsement on MMC, 2 years of marine diesel experience, ability to work independently, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Able to perform preventive and underway repairs.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and maritime regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain engine room and equipment in ready state.
• Perform startup/shutdown, troubleshooting, heavy maintenance.
• Log maintenance and repairs in tracking program.
• Monitor operating conditions and maintain logs.
• Complete material requisitions and work orders.
• Assist in loading supplies and cleaning vessels.
