A leading defense contractor is seeking a Marine Mechanic to support the U.S. Navy’s skilled trades work on weapon elevators aboard ships. This full-time position in Chesapeake, VA, requires maintenance and repair experience of structural and mechanical systems. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and six years of relevant experience. Competitive benefits are offered, along with an anticipated salary range of $56,000 to $65,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain medical clearance for equipment.
• Experience with marine hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Must be able to travel when not assigned to local tasking.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft carrier elevators.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions to eliminate problems quickly.
• Manage multiple jobs, including non-routine tasks.
